Message Board   -   Looking for a house to rent Dec. 21st to Jan 3rd. 4 bedrms. pool, and on the water or walking distance. Flying from Maine, any ideas what other islands to fly into and take a hopper airline to Anguilla to help reduce the costs?

June 30, 2001  5:04 PM EST		 Hi, I lived there for two years. The best place to fly into is St. Maarten or directly to Anguilla through San Juan. That's the way I always flew from Boston. Through St. Maarten is a pain in the butt as you have to travel from the airport on the dutch side to the port on the french side. Also, with bags, kids, etc. Then, you have a 30 minute ferry ride which at times can be a bit bumpy. That time of year will be expensive either way you go, especially for the type of place you are looking for. John
