The Anguilla TOURIST BOARD AND HOTEL PARTNERS BRING THE Anguilla EXPERIENCE TO NEW YORK New York, New York, June 2006 --- The Anguilla Tourist Board and the island’s private sector hosted the “Anguilla Experience” for 150+ members of the travel trade in New York City, the first initiative in what they hope to be a series of partnerships to market the island. Held at New York’s famed St. Regis Hotel, “The Anguilla Experience” took guests on a mini Anguilla vacation through interactive experiences showcasing the island’s food, drinks, music, attractions and special Anguilla vibe. The ATB partnered with 4 resorts, each of which offers a truly unique and extraordinary vacation experience -- Cap Juluca; CuisinArt Resort & Spa; Malliouhana Hotel & Spa; and St. Regis Residences, Temenos Anguilla --- and the Charming Escapes Collection, 16 select hotels, villas and inns which offer a very affordable escape to the island. “We wanted to do something different, to take travel agents on a mini Anguilla vacation here in New York City, to whet their appetites for the real thing, and inspire them to send their clients to discover our special gem,” stated Amelia Vanterpool-Kubisch, Director of Tourism.
